Our small workshop classes are limited to just four people and held in Toby Eagle’s private studio, creating a relaxed and intimate learning environment. With over 15 years of industry experience, Toby provides personalised, hands-on guidance in every class.
In this 3.5 to 4 hour workshop, you’ll create two unique custom fit rings to take home, handcrafted by you using reclaimed sterling silver.
Ring 2: Textured ring (your choice of texture, 4.2mm wide x 1mm thick)
Ring 1: Victory ring (1.5mm round band)
In this workshop you will learn the basics of silver smithing.

No previous experience required, whether you’re a complete beginner or have some crafting experience, this workshop is designed to be fun, creative, and rewarding. By the end of the session, you will walk away with two beautiful, custom-fitted sterling silver rings.
You will be guided step by step by metal smith Toby Eagle. Toby has 15 years in the jewellery industry and has a bachelor in metal smithing from the Australian national university. Some people can feel nervous about using tools especially in larger classes, that’s why Toby has chosen to keep these workshops small and intermit, with a maximum of four people. Unlike larger workshops, Toby is able to give each participant her full attention.
If you have any questions throughout the workshop, Toby will be more than happy to answer them — in fact, she encourages it. If you would like to continue developing your jewellery-making skills, Toby can also arrange private workshops tailored to help you build on what you’ve learnt.

Closed shoes
Hair tie (if you have long hair)
Cotton clothes preferable with no loose dangling sleeves
Contacts preferable as we will be wearing safety googles (but you are welcome to bring reading glasses if they are more comfortable)

Our workshop bookings are non refundable but if you are aware you will be unable to attend, you may pass your ticket to someone else you wish to come in your place. Please Email Toby 48 hours before the workshop date. If you need to request a date transfer you must do so no less than 7 days prior to the class.
We do require a minimum number of people to run each class. In the rare event we do not meet the minimum numbers required to run a class, you will be offered your choice of a class transfer to a new date (credit) or full refund. In the event you forget to come or you are unable to attend a workshop, the ticket is non transferable after the event. In the event that we need to cancel a workshop because of unforeseeable circumstances, customers will be given at least 48 hours notice of a cancellation and a full refund will be given to the customer.
Whilst arriving, attending and leaving the workshops, it is your responsibility to ensure that you maintain and adhere to all safety precautions and requirements during the workshop. By attending a workshop you agree to holding full responsibility and liability to any damage caused to person or property during the workshop. Workshops have specific age restrictions of 18+ and clothing requirements; including but not limited to enclosed footwear, non flammable clothing and long hair tied back. It remains the responsibility of the participants to ensure they adhere to these requirements. A copy liability waiver will be given to participants to sign on arrival of each workshop. Please note that strictly no other people, other than the booked person are to be in the workshop at anytime.
